A professional and diligent authorized Cardiology Clinical Pharmacist who focusses on the delivery of an excellent and efficient pharmaceutical care. With an outstanding and structured training at one of the leading hospitals in the Kingdom, I have amassed a wealth and fruitful experience across patient care, medication management, training and education. In June 2014, I graduated from King Saud University, College of Pharmacy and joined the pharmacy residency program at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in October 2014. In October 2017, I earned my specialty certification on Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy.
Knowledgeable with the basic and advanced research conduction requirements and complies with all ethical requirements. Participated in several research events, won multiple best-research prizes, and published a paper in peer-reviewed journal. Moreover, I serve as a referee for the Annals of Pharmacotherapy.
Serves as the Corporate Coordinator for the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, who is fully knowledgeable in formulary management system with a main objective of maintaining the safe and cost-effective use of medications to ensure that novel and evidence-based therapies are available for all patients.
Participated in teaching several Pharmacotherapy courses at different colleges of pharmacy and trained multiple pharmacy students and residents. Furthermore, serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Alfaisal University.
Dr. Alshahrani graduated from the College of Pharmacy, King Khalid University, in 2011, with a bachelor’s degree in general pharmaceutical science. Immediately, she joined King Khalid University as a teacher assistant and worked at sections of the clinical pharmacy department for one year.
In 2013, she began two years and six months of a master’s degree in clinical pharmacy at King Saud University. Subsequently, after finishing this program, she was promoted as a lecturer in the clinical pharmacy department.
In 2016, she started the residency program of general pharmacy at prince Sultan Cardiac center for two years. Then, she completed the Saudi pharmacotherapy of cardiology in a National grade hospital.
During her residency, she participated in many educational and volunteering activities.
Dr. Alshahrani got American board certification of cardiology pharmacotherapy in 2019. Currently, she is working at King Khalid University in Abha as a lecturer, clinical pharmacist, and treasurer of the clinical pharmacy department and a member of the Resident Guide Group, the volunteer group work on online educational activities.
